Despite rumors to the contrary, I have proof that Grissom 1974 classmate Susan Simpson Hinton was not eaten by cannibals in New Guinea after our graduation! She is alive and well in Homestead Florida with her Hubby of 38-39 years Randy Hinton. Paula and I managed to spot this rare classmate while on our safari toward Key West. We had a wonderful evening, caught up on the past and ate in a Thai Restaurant. I have halfway convinced her to try and make it to our class 45 year reunion in 2019! She sends her love and hellos to all her Grissom classmates!

With a sad heart I need to let our classmates know that Deborah Johnasson passed a way Oct 2017.  All I know, is she has lived in Saint Charles, MO since she left Huntsville. Debby has been in bad health. Debby suffered from diabetes for years along with many other health conditions. Today would have actually been her birthday.  Debby's mother Estella also passed away right after Debby November 2017.  The only survivor is her brother Scott and his family that reside in Saint Charles. I have been told by a distant family member that Debby and Estella ashes will be spread on a mountain in Huntsville in months to come.

Please keep Scott's family in your prayers.  May God be with Debby and Estella!

Class 45 Year Reunion

Believe it or not, it's that time again. Time to stand up a planning committee for next year's 45 year reunion 2019. We want to give our selves plenty of time this time.

Are there any volunteers out there to Chair such a committee?

Rick Shrout chaired the 40th reunion, and I chaired the 60th Birthday Party, and we had great planning teams both times. So I know the talent is out there.

Who would like to Chair or Help?

Thanks in Advance

J.D. Webster

Sorry to share this news. Classmate Harry Crews and his wife Teresa, who live in Huntsville, tragically lost one of their two sons, Nick (age 32), last Wed. A memorial was held yesterday, Sunday evening, at the Laughlin Funeral home on Bob Wallace. I don't have any information yet on funeral arrangements. I have few details on his passing. It was not a car accident. He was found deceased in his apartment in Tenn. by a friend who checked on him after 3 days of no contact.  Please send your prayers of healing to Harry and Teresa.
