Dr. Karl W. Harbin was an obstetrician-gynecologist in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and affiliated with DCH Regional Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1982 and did his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1982 to 1986 at the Medical University of South Carolina.  He was married to He is married to Mary Jane. They have one son and lost their 16-year-old daughter in a car accident in 2001.  The Memorial Service for Karl will be held Sunday, January 14th at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church.  No visitation will be held at this time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Allison Harbin Fund for Youth Ministry or the 1820 Fund of First Presbyterian Church (a building maintenance fund created under Karl's leadership) would be appreciated.
