Karen C. Hazelrig-Lacy passed away 17 January 2011 at the age of 55. I can find no other details other than that the funeral service was held in Rainbow Memorial Gardens in Gadsden Alabama. The service announcement said she was from Huntsville so I'm fairly sure this is "our" classmate Karen.
Karen was one of the Kwajalein-Huntsville kids. Knew her out on Kwaj and remember her first day at 6th grade, she was so quiet and skinny. It was good to see her again at Grissom. There was a special bond with those who were together on Kwaj.
