Jim Jernigan

Survived By: Wife, Betsy Rubel Jernigan and son, John Henderson Jernigan, sister, Karen Jernigan McCoy, and Father, James John Jernigan.

Jim was loved by all. He was a kind Boss, wonderful husband and caring Dad. He was taken from us WAY too soon!! We miss him ALL the time. Best Wishes to all his classmates on this fun Reunion!

Jim was one of the kindest, smartest, funniest guys I've ever had the pleasure to know.  He also had the most amazing mutton chop side burns to ever walk the halls of GHS!  I miss him dearly.

I agree with Marty. I had several classes with Jim Jernigan.  He was exceptionally bright. You knew that Jim was going to be successful in whatever he attempted. He will be remembered and I will miss seeing him.

I was in Boy Scouts and then Sea Explorers with Jim, and had many great times with him, including varnish remover fights, where a bit of the caustic stuff was inadvertently slung on one of us, and the other responded in kind. That stuff burned the skin. His mom was English and we had many fun times working on our faux English accents. I also remember many camping trips Jim and I were on, just not many details of any particular trip.
