David Langhout Obituary

David Lee Langhout, 60, died July 22, 2017, after a prolonged fight with heart issues. David was a long-time resident of Huntsville, Alabama, and an Eagle Scout. After graduating from Auburn University, he went to work for a small construction company. In the course of his 30-year career, he grew that company, became the owner and president, and executed hundreds of millions of dollars of construction projects across Redstone Arsenal and the city of Huntsville. He also built numerous private homes for friends and family. He loved the art of concrete and its uses in the construction industry. His last residence on Guntersville Lake was built entirely out of concrete. He was very generous with the wealth he accumulated over the years as he quietly helped many individuals with their financial hardships. David is survived by his parents, Tom and Betty Langhout of Huntsville; his sister, Judy Tonini of Huntsville; and his two brothers, Dan and Jeff Langhout of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his long-time soul mate, Ms. Kelly Harrity. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in David's name to the charity of your choice.

David did several commercial construction projects one of which was the origional Animal Care Clinic on South Memorial Parkway.  We have been in business since October of 1985 and are still going strong in the origional building with several additions by Richard Esneault, Grissom Class of 1973.  David was a great contractor to work with and helped guide us through all areas of the construction.  He is greatly missed!
