Beverly A. Miller (Hickman) came into the world 5 October 1955 in Richmond VA and left us for the world beyond 48 years later, passing away on 3 December 2003 in Tulsa OK. Her journey took her through our circle in the 1970s. Below is her Obituary:

Beverly Miller Hickman died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, in Tulsa, Okla. She was 48. She was born in Richmond, Va., and grew up in Huntsville. She was graduated from Grissom High School and Vanderbilt University where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was graduated from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Va., with a Masters of Arts Degree in Education and from Sam Houston State University in Texas with a Masters in Counseling. She was the Executive Director of CASA in Wichita Falls, Texas, in 1983. From 1985-1989, she served the John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Tulsa as the Director of Christian Education. During the 1990's Beverly worked with two Hospice programs as a Bereavement Counselor and Chaplain. In 1994, the family moved to Tulsa where Beverly practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She was a member of the Tulsa Junior League, PEO, and Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. Her father, Dr. Meredith Miller, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Ray Hickman; and two sons, Brett, at the United States Air Force Academy, and Spencer in Tulsa, Okla. Her mother, Theresa Miller of Huntsville; as well as two brothers, David Miller of Atlanta, Ga., and James Miller of Argyle, Texas, also survive her. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 307 Gates Ave., Huntsville, AL. to the Beverly Miller Hickman fund.
