The 45 Year Reunion will be Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27. The registration fee for the reunion is $65.00 for the entire weekend. However, those registering ahead of time online will get a $10.00 early registration discount making the fee $55.00. Online registration ends Wednesday, July 24. After that date, you will pay $65.00 (cash or check) at the door.
If you will only be able to attend the Friday night Meet and Greet, the fee is $25.00 (cash or check) at the door. (This fee is only if you do not pay the $55/$65 reunion fee and not in addition to the reunion fee.) The fees were established based on the estimated attendance and total cost of the reunion - website, facility rentals, music, supplies, postage, decorations, gratuities, food, etc.
Friday, July 26, (from 7:00 - 11:00 PM) join us for snacks, beer, wine, etc. as we will kick off the weekend with a meet & greet at The Belk Hudson Lofts, first floor Gallery, 110 Washington St. (This event is included in the 45 Year Reunion Fee. If you will not be able to join us Saturday evening, there is a $25 pay at the door cash or check fee.) On Saturday, July 27, (from 9:00 – 11:00 AM) we will gather at the new Grissom High School, 1001 Haysland Rd SW 35802, for a tour. You won’t believe this new school…it has windows! https://www.huntsvillecityschools.org/schools/grissom-high-school
There is a $4 entrance fee to Monte Sano Park. However, tell the person at the entrance that you are attending the Grissom Reunion at the Lodge and you do not have to pay the $4.
On Saturday, July 27, (from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM) an all classes Picnic at Monte Sano Lodge, 5101 Nolen Ave. SE 35801. Drinks and snacks provided, otherwise bring your own food and perhaps some to share. (There are three and a half hours between the end of the picnic and doors opening for the evening event. Check the website Message Board to share ideas.)
Saturday evening we will have our 45 Year Reunion at Monte Sano Lodge. https://www.alapark.com/event-lodge Doors open at 5:30 PM, Opening Ceremony at 6:00 PM and Closing Ceremony at 9:30 PM. Dress is business casual and be sure to work in a meal before you arrive. We will have heavy hors d'oeuvres, desserts, beer, wine, coffee, etc., and loads of fun!
